PowersThe artifact, which is attached to the neck of the host, contains the Time Stone material. Over time the artifact integrates into an inseparable part of its carrier. With the power of the Time Stone, the host is able to move in time and space with the power of thought. The material creates an invisible protective field around the host, making it completely invulnerable. The host's body stops aging after the stone has begun to integrate into it, so the wearer remains the age they were when the artifact was installed. The body functions normally and the host needs to eat and drink, if these are not done the body begins to wither and the individual's ability to function decreases considerably, but the energy of the stone keeps the body alive until it receives nourishment again. The host still needs sleep, but the body tolerates fatigue better than a normal person.
Travelers can sense each other's stones and thus find each other even at different times within the cycles. However, some travelers have learned to hide their location from others, so that others cannot sense them. The stones are not beacons that are always on, but the traveler must concentrate and make an effort to be able to locate the person they want to find. Each traveler may have also over time developed their own ways of utilizing the powers of the artifacts, and the travelers' knowledge of the abilities of the artifacts and the skills to use them differ somewhat from each other. Artifacts are technology so advanced that for human understanding it is basically magic. Some of the characters have a device which they can use to read, examine and possibly modify artifacts during the larp as well. The bearers of the artifact are immune to both the passage of time and all external damage. They themselves are not capable of harming themselves or removing their own artifacts. The only way the artifact bearer can perish is if another artifact bearer removes the artifact. The host dies within seconds after the artifact is removed from the body. An artifact detached from one body can be attached to a new host, in which case the artifact begins to integrate with the new host granting them all the benefits that come with it. Time travel
The ResetThe cycle ends when 25,000 days have passed since the previous Reset. Wherever the travelers are, the artifacts pull them to the same place and time, and they wake up at the time and place where the larp is run, which hours later will be hit by an asteroid, bringing with it the Time Stone to Earth. All travelers are bound to that place and time during the Reset, they cannot move away with the power of the stones or physically leave. Some kind of unknown force field keeps them in place, and as the moment of asteroid impact approaches, the field shrinks, limiting the space where the Travelers can move even smaller. When there are several hours to the moment of impact, the energy levels of the artifacts reach the maximum and this releases the force field and allows the Travelers to leave as the world has reset back to the zero line. Travelers can stay put, but if they don't leave themselves, the force of the artifact will move them out of the path of the asteroid a few minutes before impact at the latest.
Reset has become a place and time for travelers where they have to face each other again and again. Despite the differences and past conflicts, they are family and they are the only beings in the world who understand the reality in which they live. So over time, Reset has become the moment when the whole family gathers to eat dinner together, raise a glass in a memory of lost family members, exchange thoughts about the world, life and death. To tell each other stories from the previous cycle and just be with each other for a while. But the reset is also a moment that brings to the surface repressed feelings, bitterness, anger build up over time, and which painfully reminds of each lost family member. |

Time Stone = Unknown material from outer space that defy the laws of physics. Used as the source of power in the artifacts attached to the travelers.
Artifact/Stone = Small implant that can be connected to the human body. Material called the time stone is used in the artifacts creating a technology so advanced that for human understanding it is basically magic. Traveler = The characters of the larp, humans who carry artifacts created from the Time stone. They are able to travel through time and place. Zero line = The timeline that the travelers always return to after each cycle, our known history Reset = A period lasting for the duration of the larp, during which the travelers are bound to a certain time and place while the artifacts are charging Cutoff years = Boundaries beyond which travelers cannot travel, these are the year 2247 in the future and 2753 BC in the past. Cycle = 25,000 days (~68.5 years) between Resets, where Travelers can freely move through time and shape history |
